Ⅰ.Program Objectives

This program offers students comprehensive, balanced and initiative study to be engineering technicians. Students wishing to acquire the knowledge and skills in house environment devices system, building public utility system, building energy system and urban gas engineering system will be able to do research, development, teaching and management jobs in building environment and energy engineering and in various other fields.

Ⅱ.Learning Outcomes

Students of the course will acquire:

1. Necessary systemic knowledge of basic theory and technology in this major including Fluid mechanics, Engineering thermodynamics, Computer technology, Electric Technology and Electronic Technology,  Fundamental of Machine Design and Building Environmental Science and so on;

2. Systemic knowledge of building environment engineering and building energy engineering, and understanding of its trend and current stage of development;

3. Abilities to test, debug and operation management of indoor environment and devices systems, and primary mastery of their design methods;

4. Mastery of design, test and operation management of urban gas supply and application systems;

5. Solid foundation of natural sciences and humanities & arts;

6. Abilities for adapting to changes and cooperation in the jobs and Self-learning.

 

Ⅲ.Program Highlights

Courses on basic science and discipline related specific theoretical studies are emphasized,in parallel to the education of humanities and arts.  Specific engineering skill training are characterized with continuous knowledge and vision broadening, accompanied by Engineering practices, Heating, Ventilation and air-conditioning, urban gas engineering, and building automation are our three characteristic Sub-disciplines, which are closely related to the demands of the national strategic development of efficient energy use in buildings, healthy and comfort indoor environment, and West-to-East national gas Transmission Projects.
